The focus of ‘THREE LANTERNS’ is on the evocation of dreamlike dimensions

March 16th, 2010

The focus of ‘THREE LANTERNS’ is on the evocation of dreamlike dimensions., where visual relationships are fluid and reality is moot. We get glimpses of references to familiar images, whether hints of floral subjects or the rationality of architectural space. But they remain hints, teasing the eye into unfulfilled interpretations that playfully invite the viewer to fulfill from their own creative imagination.

Leo Gandelman - Garrincha Estrela Solitria

As World Cup fever builds, a tribute to Brazils Coltrane of soccer.

Lou Rhodes - One Good Thing

A single-toned album that does little to differentiate its maker from many peers.

Envy - Set Yourself on Fire

Affecting, empowering fare from a young rapper sparking with ambition.

Sierra Maestra - Sonando Ya

They remain a vital force in a music that still symbolises Cuba.

Various Artists - Nigeria Special: Volume 2 - Modern Highlife, Afro Sounds & Nigerian Blues 1970-6

With many tracks previous unavailable, this is music that deserved rediscovery.

Glee Cast - Glee: The Music, Volume 2

The young singers nail these interpretations with pin-point accuracy.

Drive-By Truckers - The Big To-Do

One of the hardest-rocking acts operating south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Fenn O’Berg - In Stereo

Legendary laptop trinity take it to the studio.

Goldfrapp - Head First

Free of anything in the slightest bit terrible, Head First is amazing stuff.

With this should be combined another extract from the same writer, as illustrating the wide-spread taste for music in the British Islands at that early period. In 1171 Giraldus “Cambrensis, or Gerald Barry, Bishop of St. David”s, to give him his proper name and title in English, visited Ireland in the suite of Henry the Second; and in his Topographia Hibernia there are the following impressions of the National Music of the Irish :-

Theres things that should just be left alone, Corgan, who is rumored to be dating Simpson, tells Rolling Stone magazine.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman believes Mayer is trying to self destruct, telling the publication, "Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where hes trying to blow it up. Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, its hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground — speaking as somebody whos done it.

3.) Your Manager Is Not Your Therapist—Although a managers professional duties make them almost like the bands parent, dont cry to mommy every time the drummer calls you a name or your girlfriend decides she wants to play the field. There is too much music industry drama that your manager has to deal with every day, to add to his/her troubles by piling a heap of your personal woes on top of his/her already overburdened shoulders. If a club owner stiffs you at the door, tell your manager. If another band records one of your songs without permission, tell your manager. If your wife compulsively flashes her breasts at your shows, send her to a therapist, but leave your manager out of it.

March 10th, 2010

But when you look at what having a solid accompaniment does for the great song stylists, you can see how training your left hand to be the ‘band’ can give your right hand the freedom to ’sing’.

Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip - The Logic of Chance

Proves intelligence and fun in UK hip hop dont have to be mutually exclusive.

Duke Special - The Stage, a Book and the Silver Screen

Fans will not be disappointed by this ambitious and impeccably produced music.

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Option Paralysis

Album four from the mathcore innovators is another singular success.

Lou Bond - Lou Bond

A delightful, esoteric find, and an album you need in your life.

White Hinterland - Kairos

Idiosyncratic chamber-folk pixie takes brilliant left-turn.

Angus and Julia Stone - Down the Way

On album two, the Stones build something lovely and lasting. Roll with them.

Andrew Lloyd Webber - Love Never Dies

Phans will rejoice, but most likely alone as this fails to match Phantoms excellence.

The Automatic - Tear the Signs Down

This could well be one of the most disappointing albums of 2010.

March 10th, 2010

Because Google and other search engines are beginning to give videos hosted on sites like YouTube preferential search engine ranking, its quite possible your video could end up on the first page of search results for your targeted keyphrase. This is incredibly powerful and not to be overlooked, as this is what will make your video marketing efforts well worth the time you invest in them.
